Dental Insurance

Lumbertown Dental Wellness wants to help every patient maximize their insurance benefits. We will help by sending claim forms and any supporting documentation that is appropriate including narrative reports and copies of X-rays and photos.

Please understand that what is called dental insurance is not “insurance” in the traditional sense. It is a dental benefit to help in paying a portion of your dental expenses.

While we understand that getting your money back from the insurance company is important, we never lose sight of our first priority: your dental health. Thus, we do not allow insurance companies to dictate your care. Together, you can decide with Dr. James R. Donley what is best for your dental health and then proceed with the care you need and deserve. For this reason, Lumbertown Dental Wellness is an out-of-network provider and not a contracted employee of any insurance company.

Why Doesn’t My Insurance Pay for This?

Having dental insurance or a dental benefit plan can make it easier to get the dental care you need. However, most dental benefit plans do not cover all dental procedures. Your dental coverage is not based on what you need or what your dentist recommends. It is based on how much your employer pays into the plan.

When deciding on treatment, dental benefits should not be the only thing you consider. Your treatment should be determined by you and your dentist.

Financial Policy

We understand that every patient’s financial situation is different. No matter what your circumstances are, you should be offered the best dentistry possible. Therefore, we provide a variety of financial options to help you receive the care you need and deserve. You may apply for any of our financial options and have a reply back in as little as a few minutes. You will know what treatment you need and your financial options before you leave your appointment. We will prepare a written agreement that explains these options and your decision.

Payment Terms

Cash, Credit Cards and Check: We ask for the appointment fee to be paid at the time of service for your first visit. If you have dental benefits, all co-payments are to be paid on the day of your scheduled appointment. For major treatment needs, various payment options can be discussed prior to scheduling treatment.

Dental Savings Plan: We have an in-office membership Dental Savings Plan for patients without dental insurance. It helps you spread out payments and save money at the same time! You can find out more about that plan by clicking here! Many of our loyal patients enjoy the savings this plan offers, without the hassle of dealing with a third-party insurance plan!

Insurance: We accept most dental insurance providers, but we are not a contracted employee of any dental insurance company. We will take care of sending your claim to your insurance provider, and we will do everything that we can to ensure you get all of the benefits to which you are entitled.

If you have a secondary insurance provider, you will be responsible for that payment at time of service.

Payment Plans: We allow a courtesy discount for total payment in advance of scheduled appointments. We also have several payment plans available through different accredited companies to finance your dental care with companies such as CareCredit and Lending Club. Many of these plans have no down payment required, no interest and no pre-payment penalties. Some plans offer longer terms with a low interest rate. Our patients have been very happy with the terms offered by these payment plans. These companies give you alternative options so that you can have the dental treatment you need and deserve.
